江门18路酒店

很靓，是刚刚的新装修的，有一点欧式的风格，很豪华，进去有点像澳门赌城差不多，很好，酒店的外部和内部的风景都很有特色，一楼到五楼全都是一条龙的，而且一楼是超市，二楼是咖啡厅，三楼是中西餐厅，五楼是桑拿的地方，服务有点不太满意，我觉得她们没有什么礼貌，如果改善一下就更好了，但卫生还可以，四楼的中餐部的卫生很干净，房间内有电脑和吉他，能够让客人上网，网速也可以，交通在星期六时有点不好，有很多人，在星期一到星期五还可以。

早餐的东西太少了，还有吃早餐的地方也很小，大概在一个小角落那里，感觉很挤，还有吃早餐的地方就是在大堂登记的旁边，还有他们的早餐，牛奶不像牛奶，豆浆不像豆浆，牛奶黄黄的像豆浆，豆浆白白的像牛奶，而且地方很小，凳子很大，只要一站起来拿东西什么的就可以碰到旁边的人。

交通不方便，在步行街中心的，很杂，地理位置不好，刚刚进去的时候有红地毯铺着，大厅的设施也是蛮好的，给人很大气的感觉，旁边有一个肯德基店，外面的装潢是看上去蛮舒服的，外面的颜色是淡淡的黄色的，大厅里面是乳白色的，这里的服务满跟得上的，卫生做的挺好的，房间的隔音效果挺好的。

I stayed at the Wilson Hotel for 5 nights while visiting my Dad's ancestral village in Kaiping county. The Hotel is part of a shopping center anchored by a very modern Vanguard Supermarket (comparable to a Target store in the US) which I didn't expect there. (I hadn't visited in 13 years.) The Vanguard store and a KFC front on a busy street, while the Hotel entrance is in the back off a little square. The shopping center is busy until 10 PM, even later on the weekends. It's about a 4-6 block walk down to the riverfront area. I swear that every store along the way sells either shoes, mobile phones, or teen clothes. My room was modern, simple, earthtones (King bed), and big. Two side chairs. The A/C was much appreciated since I came back sticky after walking around outside (warm but humid). A work desk and chair with a broadband connection. A separate phone (voip?) with free calling within China. Bathrooms are marble-tiled. The mini-bar refrigerator is convenient for keeping those 1.5 liter sodas from the supermarket cold. Comparable to a Hilton Garden Inn in the US, except there is a electric teapot for guests to boil their drinking water. Front desk is helpful, but usually only one young lady speaks English fluently. There was a review comment about the front desk not changing money; I use Bank of China ATMs that are common place. The breakfast buffet has a lot of items, but it's true that they serve the same items everyday. Mostly Chinese dishes, but there's sunnyside up and hardboiled eggs, OJ, toast, coffee, etc available for diehards or those that are already suffering from culture shock. There's restaurants and stuff on first few floors. Rooms are on the upper floors in a tower. Guests and restaurant customers use the same elevators. I was a surprised that there's no visible security on the hotel floors (CCTV?). Only the occasional lady hotel reps dressed in business suits (I think they're the ones who slip the breakfast buffet vouchers late at night under my door) or uniformed housekeeping people. Their business center doesn't have PCs available for guests to use. However, the front desk clerk (male and only semi English fluent) understood what I wanted and drew me a map to an Internet Cafe that was a block away. I found it and it was 2 Yuan for a hour. I should disclose that I'm a native Californian of Chinese descent and can speak and understand some Cantonese but can not read Chinese. I've visited Kaiping at least 4 times before in the early 90's and have visited China 7-8 times, the first being in 1981. I've stayed in many Kaiping hotels, some weren't so good in the early days. Now when I visit Kaiping, I don't have to rough it.. I thought the price was reasonable for I got. It's a comfortable place.

空间大小都挺豪华的，是带有那种蒸气的。酒店的娱乐场所都挺齐全的，KTV，晚饭，早茶都有。服务还可以，见到人都会问声好吧，办事效率都挺快的。我们过年到这边泡温泉时入住的吗。看起来不怎么正规，隔壁就是桑拿木柱，感觉酒店有别的东西。房间里比较整洁，我们是喝完酒入住的，洗了个澡就睡了。这边有一个很大的商场，好象叫艺华。周边属于闹市，出行挺繁华的，就是公交比较少，这边都是摩托车。
